2017 Highlight Slideshow & Blogs
Well, 2017 has been full on, to say the least. I never expected to become a full-time photographer on New Year’s Eve 2016 but I did. The rollercoaster of 2017 was crazy but I’m very excited to see what 2018 holds. Click on the love below to see a little slideshow I made from this year’s work or scroll down to see a list of all the blogs this year!
With 9 Weddings booked in before 2017 and a new concept of Couple Portrait Sessions only just in the trial stage, I ended 2017 with a staggering 4 Elopements, 17 Couple Portrait Sessions & 18 Weddings. A grand total of 11,527 miles of travel, including going to Italy for a stunning wedding on Lake Garda, Various trips south to Surrey, Norfolk, Worcestershire and thousands of miles around, The Lake District and Cumbria.
This year has honestly been a dream, part of me doesn’t believe its real and that I’m going to wake up anytime now. As I wrote in my previous blog: “I wasn’t expecting that”
“I’m always buzzing after a wedding or photo shoot. I just can’t wait to get home, get the photos uploaded to my computer and edit. Even just one, before bed, after a 16 hour day. I wake up in the morning still shaking with excitement to work on your images. I start by going through all of the ones taken and filter out ones to keep, ones for the final cut and ones to delete, this itself usually takes a whole day, with a cheeky edit here and there. Generally the next day or two I work 16 hour days again editing away on your images, getting them ready for your client gallery. The following days will see me creating your blog and if you have already bought one, create your wedding album and email you a proof to approve for print. My entire week is about you two! It’s a crazy rollercoaster that just builds and builds and builds.”
And its all still true, I’m fairly sure that 2018 is going to be even more amazing. 2018 will see more “From The Experts” blogs of useful information from wedding suppliers in the industries and even more useful helpful blogs from myself too. I can’t wait to start the adventure!
