2023 Couple Portrait Sessions

Wow, it's 2023! And wedding season is fast approaching which means one thing... Couple portraits are a go! Every couple who books with me gets the opportunity to have a couple portrait session and if you spend over £1,500 on your wedding photography it's complimentary, which is always awesome!

Other couples do contact me for couple portraits who haven't booked and they're always gorgeous as well as we adventure around Cumbria. You can read more about my couple portrait sessions on the link above.

This year I'm going to try something a little different, rather than blogging every couple shoots I do on their own blogs... I'm going to try a year-by-year blog... Let's see how it goes. Click on a couple's name to see their mini blog!

If you fancy a portrait session why not Contact me. You can also talk to me about your upcoming wedding photography plans!

Kira & Paul

Kira & Paul are soon to get married at Hidden River Cabins and enjoy a small wedding with their closest family and friends around them. Traveling from where they live they came up to Cumbria for a food tasting at Hidden River and decided to stay at the nearby and amazing Penton Bridge Inn, which is where we met to start the couple portrait session.

We walked down the road to the nearby river "Liddel Water" which is actually the boundary line between England and Scotland and crossed over into Scotland. Wandering around the river adventuring away chatting about all things weddings and life in the rather mixed weather that only the borderlands can give!

I honestly cannot wait to photograph these two lovelies again at Hidden River Cabins surrounded by awesome people!

Jack & Lauren

Part of living in Carlisle is getting to enjoy all the amazing places around us, like gelt woods only a few miles away. It's a fave location for Lauren, Jack & 10 year old Theo, possibly the most energetic 10-year-old spaniel I have ever met, naturally he stole the show!

Jack & Lauren are getting married at Gretna with friends and family watching and supporting them all the way. Like most couples, they were a little nervous about wedding photos so a Couple Portrait Session seemed like a great idea to not only help settle some nerves but also to show and practice some basic posing before the big wedding day.

Couple portraits are soooo useful for things like this as it not only helps calm any worries but it just means we get to know each other even more than before and practicing how to pose and what it's like in front of the camera speeds up portraits on the day itself meaning.. more time for drinking and dancing!
