With the backdrop of the Western Fells, Muncaster Castle is a cracking venue, rich in history with stunning gardens that stretch for what feels like miles. In fact, it was the perfect location for a recent couples photoshoot with Nigel and Pauline Parke.
They’ve been together 48 years and celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in July. As the couple that “have everything”, their children thought a couples photoshoot was the perfect way to mark the event.
Both were nervous about the shoot but soon relaxed into it and were really easy to snap. I learned quickly that Pauline loves pink and doesn’t venture far without her Chanel sunglasses, or without Nigel for that matter! The Couple Portrait Session was full of stories and laughs throughout our time together and it was amazing!
Muncaster Castle was a great venue choice for them. Not only did it suit their pride for their west Cumbrian heritage, but also provided a rich backdrop of autumn colours plus the weather was far better than predicted which was a bonus for Pauline who really didn’t want to get her hair wet! It is also a location where over the years they have seen it change and develop alongside their relationship as they frequently visit Muncaster.
They are a cute couple, still clearly madly in love 45 years later, at ease in each other’s company and happiest when they are holding hands, side by side.
