Debbie & Alex - Low Wood Bay - Windermere
Originally from the Isle of Man, Debbie and Alex chose to say their vows at the Low Wood Bay Windermere hotel. The hotel enjoys one of the most spectacular lake shore settings in The Lakes with one of the finest views across the Windermere. With the stunning Lake District fells forming a beautiful backdrop to the hotel, its a truly magnificent wedding venue.
This amazing couple are just pure fun. We met before the wedding day as Debbie had just completed a rather large run in Liverpool earlier that day, crazy lady! As we spoke it was clear that these guys were honest and down to earth. What you see is what you get. They had a simple idea in mind, to have friends and family enjoy the day and night to the best of their abilities. we weren't let down.
During our amazing wedding breakfast we all partook in a competition singing to Disney songs while they played in the background. The winner got a bottle of Fizz to share. Myself and my helpful second photographer were sat down with a rather entertaining table of guests, little did we know what we were getting ourselves in for!
Our tables song was "Under the sea" from the little mermaid. As a table though, we wanted the win. we don't have time for second place. watching other tables making props we knew that singing alone wasn't good enough for us! We needed actions and we needed a sea. Craftily getting a table cloth from near by members of staff we quickly made a plan. our song arrived and the actions started. two people wither side making a pretend sea with a special guest lobster and people diving onto the floor it was a spectacle to be seen.
A lot more happened on this magical day, like a stunning hour long cruise around Windermere while the groom and best man gave speeches. Or when everyone (and almost myself) were in tears as beautiful hand written vows were exchanged. We also all enjoyed watching this couple bust some moves on the dance floor to Everlong by The Foo Fighters shortly followed by everyone dancing the night away.
