Helen and Mark are a seriously awesome couple. While talking about their wedding plans and the upcoming couples portrait session Helen mentioned that not far from the family home is some rather gorgeous countryside where they usually walk the dogs. So that was the plan a countryside couple portrait session. To keep it simple and real. No thrills just beautifully honest and true… Which is exactly what I’m about!
After a good mug of coffee, we got or wellies on and ventured outside walking the dogs and talking about the upcoming wedding, as always jokes were flying around and we were all having a great time. We spent a few seconds talking about how they feel in front of cameras and going through the basics of posing and just how easy it really is.
Both Helen and Mark are naturals in front of the camera. Not quite in a vogue sense but in the sense of just letting their guards down so I can document and see who they really truly are. Nothing was hidden from me and it was honestly wonderful to see the love they have for each other shoot around like fireworks. The small smiles or reassuring squeezes as they walk down the lane hand in hand.
I adored the lyrics on the kitchen wall and so I took a cheeky photo before we headed out. “Hold my hand, understand, walk with me, kiss goodnight, hold me tight, I won’t let go, love me so. I got you, babe”. Such a famous song which I think we all know rather well, but I for one have never really thought about the lyrics until now, they sum up Helen & Mark beautifully and I cannot wait till their wedding day!
If you would like to have a couples portrait session with myself, or even have me photograph your big day, then please do get in touch.
