Irton Hall is only a few miles from my favourite lake in the Lake District, Wastwater. It is also where Laura & Martin chose to host their wedding reception after saying their vows at St Bridget's Church in Lowca, west Cumbria, where Laura grew up.
"we visited a few in West Cumbria but we just wasn't feeling it - we didn't want a barn as that just wasn't us but yet the hotels that we visited didn't jump out at us either. One of my mams friends told her about this new venue in Eskdale that had just been built - The grey lady suite at Irton Hall - we hadn't even heard of it. One Sunday afternoon me and my mum went to visit and I just loved EVERYTHING about it! I was ready to sign on the dotted line however agreed to come back the following day with Martin. Martin loved it as much as I did and we decided to go for it! "
The day itself was full of fun and emotions which sums this couple up perfectly! From tearing up in speeches to jumping on tables with the epic hype man Host & DJ that is rob from DFC. We also managed to go to my favourite lake for some couple shots! It was an amazing wedding day!
Have a look at the below images from this epic day. Also, why not check out this amazing couples portrait session. If you would like me to photograph your big day, please feel free to contact me!
