Jade & Neil said their “I do’s” at the fantastic Ribby Hall Village, in Lancashire on Good Friday! If you recognise this gorgeous couple it may well be from their Couple Portrait Session last year where we ventured through the Grizedale Forest in Cumbria for a few hours, check out the blog here.
I asked Jade & Neil some questions about how they met and what they love about each other, I adore what they had to say and how they met!
“We met on a mutual friend birthday night out on Halloween 2014. After spying each other across a table when we all arrived at the first pub, it wasn’t until much later in the evening and after what’s probably the weekly/monthly recommended intake of alcohol, that Dutch courage was at a high and Jade came over and sat down next to me. We carried on talking for the rest of the night till I had to leave to take my very drunk friend (Jimmy best man) home. We hadn’t swapped numbers so I did some research (Facebook stalked lol) and sent her a message through that and we talked until the early hours. We’ve spoken to each other every day in some form (text or call or in person) since that night.
What we love about each other:-
Neil about Jade – She’s weird lol, I think the more diverse word would be quirky. She makes me laugh with the randomness that she says and I love that we have quite a lot of similar interests but not too much that we’re constantly under each other’s feet (that would get annoying lol). I also love the fact that she’s a strong independent woman (not that she would agree with me in the slightest) and she makes me very proud of what she’s done and what she does for our little family.
Jade on Neil – I’ve never met anyone so loved by the people around them. He’s strong yet incredibly kind and caring and hates it when I say he’s cute. (which obviously means I do it more often). I feel like we’ve known each other much longer than the 3-ish years since we met and have never felt so comfortable with anyone else in my whole life. I knew he was the one for me when we were texting till 5 am after the night we met and he told me I should drink some cucumber water as the electrolytes in the cucumber would help my hangover. Also, he’s the biggest nerd ever lol.”
