5 Tips for Planning Your Kirklinton Hall Wedding.
That’s right, I’ve managed to grab Annabel, owner of Weddings by Annabel, who is the Venue Manager and coordinates the Weddings & Events in the Hall & Gardens to give some of her top tips for planning your Kirklinton Hall Wedding.
1. Keep decor simple.
The Hall doesn’t need much decoration as then the Ruin stands out. Think about simple florals, beautiful finishing touches on the tables and using features already there.
There is only basic lighting on site so make sure you budget for atmospheric lighting to match the mood you wish for. This can be a collection of simple fairy lights and uplighters or add some dramatic spots on the trees, Edison arrangements or even chandeliers! Again just emphasise the space and create atmosphere.
3. Prepare your guests.
It’s a ruin and gardens, it’s open to the elements, it has adventure beyond the Hall walls! Try to make sure your guests know what they are coming to so they can be ready for exploring the site, taking full advantage of the venue!
4. Walk the walk.
For any event, it’s best to walk the venue and day through as if you’re a guest. Can you find the loos? Do you know when you’re eating next? Can you find your seat? Put their minds at ease by predicting their queries so the feel of the day is relaxed.
5. Talk to us.
By the end of this year we will have hosted a variation of celebrations and each use the space in their own way. Chat to us about the many options for lighting, layout, catering, activities etc. Here to help!
