Couples portrait session on tarn hows in the lake district

Kristina & Ashley – Lake District Couples Portrait Session

Wow, What a whirlwind the last few days have been! This gorgeous couple had been let down by their previous photographer and so I stepped up to fill the void with only 3 weeks to go… But that’s enough of that! I’m not letting them have the time of day when we have the stunning Kristina, Ashley & Peggy to talk about. After frantic texts and phone calls we managed to organise the future events that will unfold over the next few weeks. One of which was a couples portrait session at Tarn Hows in the stunning Lake District national park. Coincidently It was nearby that Ashley popped the question! What a guy! We walked around the tarn talking about the day ahead and what they were after in general and photography wise for the big day. All the while playing with their dog Peggy, who is ace by the way! With all of the planning turmoil this couple had been in I felt it was right for me to take a more back seat approach to the afternoon finding out more about them and how I can show this amazing couple’s journey through photographs. Our conversations went from the relatively serious to the outright bizarre, the cheeky and the belly laughing funny. As we saw openings arrive around the tarn we stopped and either threw a stick into the water or I asked them to pose in a guided way. As always with me, it wasn’t hugely directional. I love to see moments unfold naturally and not forced. Seemingly this worked really well with Kristina & Ashley as they naturally just joke and mess around with each other as it is, I was just there to record the moments. It was beautiful to see. I honestly cannot wait till your big day only 2 weeks away now guys and we are going to rock it! 🙂 If you would like to have a couples portrait session with myself, or even have me photograph your big day, then please do get in touch.
