Grizedale Forest in the Lake District is a beautiful forest and its where Jade & Neil chose to have their couples portrait session. It was Neils birthday and they were up in the lakes for a nice weekend away so it made sense for us to combine it all with their couples portrait session before their wedding next year.
Both after a more laid back approach to photography and both admitting they “Hate their photo being taken” we started walking and talking rather than jumping right into the photographs. We started with myself explaining the 5 basic poses that you will see in almost every wedding ever and every catalogue ever. I then explained that these are starting points and it’s all down to them as a couple how they choose to play them out. I’m not rigid and stiff and neither are my photos, they’re there to show the couple as who they are.
As we wandered on through the forest we talked about our likes dislikes, the music we listen to and generally messed about and had a giggle. It was great. One thing that shone through out though was just how much these guys adore each other. Honestly, it’s infectious to be around these two! They’re just so happy and smiley and lovely. Anyway, that’s enough of my rambling… have a look at the photos below!
If you would like to have a couples portrait session with myself, or even have me photograph your big day, then please do get in touch.
