Dave & Giggy met while working together while working on the same project. Both are in the Arts, Events and Tech industry travelling the UK and world for their passion. Dave a freelance lighting and production manager, while Giggy is a set and costume designer! A few of you will know a little of my past is also in this industry as a former soundy-man for a few bands and a local venue. Needless to say, we had lots of geeky things to talk about.
Both currently living in Scotland they decided to travel back to the lakes where Dave has strong family connections and memories for their couple portrait session. They are getting married next year in the tiny village of Tayvallich on the west coast of Scotland. It's around 2.5hrs from Glasgow by car and is absolutely stunning. The small village hall will be for the reception while the ceremony itself will be outside on a small private beach with a stone jetty.
As we walked along the shore of Derwent water we laughed and talked about the wedding day and how these guys met. We also went through some basic posing to show how easy it is and how its nothing to worry about on the big day (it really isn't anything to worry about guys). It was also pretty much to the day, the anniversary of their first date! At which, and almost every date and adventure later, they ate pie. Thankfully for me, they bought some extra for a wee snack when we arrived back to the car.
