“My wife and I have always been told to visit the Lake District when we’re next in the U.K., and we finally did this year. Everyone knows the lakes are famed for their natural beauty, but the views take your breath away, especially when you’re climbing over a fell or paddling out on the lakes.
We didn’t have a conventional engagement shoot for our wedding, and I thought to surprise my wife with a photoshoot this trip (she laments that we don’t have enough proper photos together). I came across Josh after furiously googling photographers in the Cumbria area and immediately knew he would be a right fit. His aesthetics and composition were so well aligned with ours that I immediately emailed to book a time. In particular, I loved the clean, crisp lines he employs and his ability to capture so much emotion in each photo.
As it was our first time in the lakes, Josh recommended the amazing Rydal waters. Thankfully, we arrived at Rydal to an unusually sunny day. Josh made us feel really comfortable and helped us take our attention away from being in front of the camera, to enjoying the moment. He would quietly slip away at times and leave us to wander while he took some shots. We also had a lovely time just chatting and exploring the area with him! We were also thinking of doing a long wall canvas frame for our future home and Josh was more than happy to oblige, capturing the beautiful landscape all around us in the photo you see here.
We’re still on holiday in the U.K. as we write this and can’t wait to get home to view the photos on the big screen. Thank you Josh for a lovely time and the wonderful photos to help us remember our time in the lakes!”
