I love traveling back home for a Norfolk Wedding. I have never, until now, photographed a wedding in the village I grew up in. While Tom & Kelly now live closer to Norwich, we both grew up in the village of Clenchwarton, Near king’s Lynn, and its here they decided to commit their lives together. The ceremony to take place in the wonderful village church and the reception on Toms parents Farm. It was wonderfully bespoke and personal. Its not often I photograph a wedding only to look across a field to my own parents house.
The day started at a near by hotel Knights Hill. The bridal prep with Kelly and the girls was very relaxed and chilled out. Quite different from what I’m used to, don’t get me wrong I love the energy of a manic morning, it was a refreshing change. The weather at that point was starting to turn and as I was driving to the church the heavens opened. So badly I had to turn on my fog lights! Thankfully as soon as we got to the church it all stopped. The clouds kept rolling in over the day but thankfully when we needed it to be dry it was and when we didn’t it rained. Quite a lucky day.
Before the proper photos start, I have to show you how I got a group photograph of everyone… Its useful working on a farm..
If you would like to get in touch about your wedding day, please feel free, I would love to hear more about your day and how I can make it even more memorable.
