Post-Lockdown Summer Church Wedding

I first met Beckie before she was even engaged at a wedding fair she was going to with her sister. It was a small local wedding fair in a local Cumbrian church. She joked that she would hire me to photograph her wedding one day, and naturally, while with a big smile, I didn't think she would remember me should the day come… However, as soon as the day was over, I noticed she followed my photography on social media.

As soon as she was engaged and wedding dates were mentioned, Beckie got in touch to make sure I was available for her wedding photography. Honestly, I can't think of anything more flattering or terrifying than a couple planning their wedding day around my availability! Naturally, however, COVID played a massive part in changing plans, dates and guest numbers for Beckie & Reece. Still, when we all finally managed to witness them get married and celebrate with them, the weather was stunning, and it was an utterly perfect day!

Beckie and Reece met at University. During Rebecca's first couple of months at University, she had a difficult time, left an all-girls flat and moved into a flat with all boys. On viewing the flat in the halls of residents, Beckie knocked on the door to ask to look around, which no one answered. Finally, the estate manager opened the door, and Reece stood there rubbing his eye, grumbling that someone had woken him up at 2 in the afternoon! He was clearly hungover. Later that night, Beckie moved into the flat.

After a few months, they became close and became best friends. "We knew so much about each other, and Reece soon became my absolute rock. My Dad later that year became seriously unwell, and Reece was there to comfort and support and even stopped me from leaving University altogether, Which I will forever thank him for today."

So summer came, and they spent the whole of the summer skyping and getting to know each other. On returning to University Beckie & Reece moved into a shared house, and their relationship kicked off.
