Dave & Sarah first met in Liverpool on a night out in 2012. It wasn't long before the relationship grew and they moved in together and bought a VW campervan for all their adventures around The Lake District together. The Lakes are close to the hearts of this couple and so when it came a time to plan their wedding, Troutbeck & Broadoaks Country House was the perfect location for them to celebrate.
Sadly, as is a current theme, COVID got in the way of the original plans and so the wedding day was postponed and postponed again. This however meant that they could combine their wedding day with Finn's christening at Jesus Church in Troutbeck, just a stones throw away from Broadoaks Country House!
Jesus Church is a stunning Lake District Church just a few miles away from the shores of Windermere. Originally built in 1506 and rebuilt in 1736 it's probably one of the oldest churches in Cumbria. It is an utterly perfect venue for a church wedding and christening double whammy.
Just as Cumbria Classic Coaches ferried everyone to the church from Broadoaks, it also took them all back after the service where we all enjoyed the spring sun in broadoaks gardens and later that night live music from "The KickStarts" a great trio from Manchester.
Not being a big posey couple we headed out for portraits a few times in the day and at night to create the last photo of the gallery which is a multiple exposures with off-camera flash, it's always fun to play around!
So if you're wondering about a Country House venue for your wedding... then contact the Broadoaks Country House for an amazing wedding day. If you fancy contacting me about your wedding photography then please do as I would love to document your wedding day!
