Muncaster Castle is one of my featured venues here on my website and it is the stunning location for Bethan & Michaels upcoming wedding. We walked around the vast grounds of the castle while talking about all things random and having a laugh in which I found out that they are both super competitive!
We walked and talked to get them used to being around the camera and went through how easy the 5 basic poses for couples are and that there is nothing to be nervous about at all! We also played some simple games which turned mega competitive and even ended in a google search for animals beginning with the letter "X"... It's harder than you think!
It's not rare to hear jokes about "puppy love" or "teenage fancies" but these guys are here to prove others wrong. They first met at school when they were 15. At the age of 17 they started becoming more than just friends and now years later they are to become husband and wife! Honestly, these guys are so on the same page it's amazing. Just watching how they look, laugh and hold each other is incredible to watch and a wonderful thing to witness.
Weddings at this fantastic venue are beautiful and I cannot wait for Bethan and Michaels big day as it is going to be a gorgeous day from what they have planned (seriously Michael, can we play a game of cricket?). Muncaster Castle, home of the Pennington family for over 800 years, is one of the most majestic settings for any celebration. Set in 77 acres of woodland and gardens against the backdrop of the Western Lake District fells, these idyllic surroundings provide a wedding venue to die for. It is easy to describe why Ruskin described it as the “gateway to paradise.”
If you would like to have a couples portrait session with me, or even have me photograph your big day, then please do get in touch.
