Elopement Wedding Photography

The Ultimate Elopement
An elopement is the ultimate wedding – Getting married should be all about your love, your way and your day. You two choose your stunning location and then focus on the most important part of a wedding day – your vows, while I concentrate on documenting your memories to last a lifetime.
If you fancy running away to the Lakes together, take me along, and I'll photograph the biggest adventure of your life! We can go anywhere! Elopement honours the essence of getting married, where your relationship is the priority. After all, that's what matters, the start of your marriage or civil partnership, not some old traditional things you personally don't agree or believe in.
If you're eloping to Cumbria & The Lake District, then my elopement photography pricing is very simple. My basic up to 3 hour elopement coverage is £800, with additional hours costing £100 per hour. So you can make the elopement as big or small as you like!
Make your elopement an Adventure.
I can be as adventurous as you are for your elopement – I'll climb a Cumbrian fell like Helvellyn, or the Langdales, stopping off at scenic locations like Blea Tarn or hike to a scenic spot with Lake Windermere as a stunning backdrop. We can simply chill at your Lake District elopement wedding venue and have portraits on the venue grounds.
I know the Lake District very well, and I'm discovering more and more of it with every adventure I take, so whatever you have envisioned for your Lake District Elopement photography, I'd love to be able to share my location knowledge and work with you to create authentic photos that show your personality and love for each other.
Wild & Romantic
Eloping is romantic, and it acts as a wonderful template for married life. It provides authenticity, spontaneity, adventure, fun and creativity.
As your Lake District elopement will be completely unique to you, please get in touch, and we can start planning how to tell your intimate story through authentic photography.
Elopement Photography
You may be wondering how elopement photography differs from traditional wedding photography, so I thought I'd give an insight into the differences. As an elopement photographer, I spend more time curating locations that fit your personal preferences than I would on a regular wedding day.
With weddings with lots of guests, there's rarely time to go fell climbing or spending too long at different locations, whereas during your Lake District elopement, you'll have as long as you like, which can be worked around your wedding ceremony without worrying about guests wondering whether they need to call mountain rescue.
I love adventuring, and the best thing about being an elopement photographer is being able to adventure with you! So depending on how much time we have and how adventurous you want to be. We can go anywhere in the world, Isle of Skye is a personal favourite location of mine! Or why not head into Europe or even further afield? Let's explore this amazing world we live in!

Photography that is
Bespoke to you
Your elopement photography is totally bespoke.
It’s all about you and can be a brief, simple photoshoot in a favourite location, or a full day shoot with a pub lunch. Or we can even travel across the country!
It’s your special day (Or days), so you decide!
I don’t offer elopement packages, my pricing is bespoke to your needs, starting at £800 for up to 3 hours coverage, in Cumbria. Additional hours can be bought if you want to get even more adventurous!

Hidden River Cabins Autumn Elopement
Lauren & Jake contacted me in April asking to photograph their Elopement at the gorgeous Hidden River Cabins. After previously planning a rather large wedding they decided that the wedding day was moving further and further away from what they wanted, and away from their relationship milestone of marriage. So instead, Lauren and Jake gathered...

Elopement isn’t a dirty word
Elopement isn’t a dirty word. The result of an elopement is the same as a traditional wedding. Marriage, Vows and the Verb, Love. You both still end up yelling “WHAT?!” from different sides of the house, you still spend 20 minutes deciding what to have for lunch because you both “Don’t mind” and you’ll still both wind each other up every now and then…
