Storrs Hall is just one of the Lake Districts most perfect venues, they cater for huge weddings and small intimate weddings and elopements like Molly & Stephen had this Autumn. “We wanted something rural, rugged and peaceful. We definitely wanted to get married outside and everything about Storrs Hall was perfect. We knew the minute we saw it. We saw it online before any others and after looking all over the UK, we knew it was always Storrs Hall. – the Lake District is somewhere we had always wanted to go and so it was perfect!”
“We met years before becoming a couple, only briefly but made a lasting impression on the other. Years later, we ended up working in the same place and instantly clicked. I’ve grown up listening to heavy metal music/rock music, so when I heard Stephen playing Blink 182, Linkin Park and Good Charlotte- the rest was history! We have always been a team, we always support each other and love doing our own thing- hence the elopement!”
While I was only with this awesome couple for a few two hours we had an amazing time at Storrs Hall and the weather held up perfectly for us all to enjoy an outside ceremony hosted by Cumbria Registration Service. We then explored the grounds of Storrs Hall which due to crazy weather the previous few days, Winderemere had flooded over the jetties and raised up along paths I would usually photograph on… IT WAS ACE! we got to explore new places and have a total adventure.
Molly had said she previously saw my photos of reflections in puddles (which we all know I love) and she wanted one with the stunning Autumn colours. After searching we found the perfect puddle… in a fallen tree trunk… after a small climb up we got the portrait!
