Same-Sex Elopement In The Lake District

Jade & Michaela contacted me earlier this year about their upcoming lake district elopement at Cragwood Country House overlooking the gorgeous Windermere.

They met online 6 years ago and their first date was in Manchester at Dusk Til Pawn & Allotment Bar for drinks. After 4 years of dating, Michaela proposed to Jade with a scrapbook... The scrapbook was full of photos and memories from the previous 4 years together, it took Michaela 5 months to make and on the final page, Michaela asked Jade to be her wife.

We chose the Lake District as we both love the outdoors and how beautiful the place is. Once we knew where we wanted to get married, we started looking at venues and settled on Cragwood. Cragwood straight away was perfect for us, the country house itself is beautiful but also all the surrounding land

Neither of us wanted a large wedding so went for a very small wedding with just our parents as witnesses. We do have a wedding party for everyone to celebrate with us though booked in for August

Have a look at the below slideshow and blog. If you're thinking about eloping or having a micro wedding, and you fancy contacting me about your elopement then please do as I would love to document your day!
