About Me – Sheffield wedding photographer
Hi, I’m Josh! Your wedding is about you—real people, with a unique story. Whether it’s a vibrant celebration, an intimate gathering, or an unconventional city elopement, I’m here to capture it authentically. I’ve spent over 15 years as a photographer, and my passion is creating storytelling photography that gives you timeless memories to cherish for years to come.
My wedding photography style
My style? A mix of 95% candid moments and 5% fine art portraits. This means I’ll document the natural flow of your day—your best mate’s impromptu speech, laughter spilling into the streets, or those epic dance moves that no one saw coming. At the same time, I’ll create stunning portraits that showcase your personality and the vibrant energy of the city around you.

Sheffield offers a unique blend of urban charm and industrial beauty, making it the perfect backdrop for your wedding. Want to feature the city’s iconic street art, historic architecture, or moody skyline? Let’s explore! Prefer to keep things cosy in your venue or embrace the bustling streets for portraits? Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some frequently asked questions about my wedding photography services:
Do you help with posing? I’m kind of awkward/unphotogenic.
Absolutely! Most of us aren’t models, and it’s totally normal to feel unsure in front of the camera. I can promise you that every couple you see on my website started out saying the same thing. My approach is to give you a basic pose to work from and let you naturally relax into it. It’s more fun and informal than you might think! If you’re really nervous about being photographed, a couple’s portrait session might be a great starting point. It helps shake off those nerves and gets you comfortable. You can also check out my posing guide here [insert link]!
How long will it take to get my photos?
The national average is about 4 to 8 weeks, but I aim to deliver much sooner. My workflow focuses on completing one wedding before moving on to the next, which is why I only take on 35 weddings a year. While I never guarantee an exact timeline (creativity can’t be rushed!), most couples receive their photos within 4 weeks.
How do you prefer to communicate?
I’m happy to connect however works best for you—email, phone, text, WhatsApp, Skype, Instagram, or Facebook. For anything important, though, email is my preferred method because it keeps everything organized and easy to reference when planning your wedding.
Can I print the photos you deliver?
Of course! You’ll receive full-resolution photos, good enough for prints as large as 3 ft by 2 ft. If you’re looking to go even bigger, let me know, and I’ll make sure the file is perfect for your needs. Just a heads-up: I can’t control the quality of prints made elsewhere, but if you print through me, I guarantee the best results. Learn more about printing your photos here [insert link]!
How do I book my date?
Head over to my contact page to get in touch! We’ll chat about your plans and how we can bring them to life. After that, I’ll send you an online quote, which includes the contract and booking fee details. Once those are completed, your date is locked in!
