Low Wood Bay & Rydal Caves Elopement

The Lake District is close to this family's heart with regular holidays in Keswick allowing them to just shut down from the world and enjoy being family together in the adventures of the fells. It was the perfect location then for an intimate wedding day at Low Wood Bay followed by a small hike in the rain to Rydal Caves.

With an original wedding date planned for 2019, the stresses and strains of planning alongside life sadly got in the way and so Nicola & David actually slit up for just over two years. However, while co-parenting they both realised their own mistakes and grew as a couple from their time apart. On a family holiday with the children, they realised just how much they missed each other and decided "Sod it, let's Elope!"

"Elopement took the stress out of the wedding planning and gave us the freedom to do it how we wanted. We are telling our parents but only a month before and once everything is planned!"

For the week leading up to the elopement, the lake district had been covered in utterly stunning sunshine and hot temperatures which, surprise surprise, on the wedding day itself, disappeared into a moody ethereal and a little wet day. But, these two being the amazing couple they are were still up for a small walk to Rydal Caves just down the road from Low Wood Bay. The photos are stunning, as is this couple! Have a look at the below and enjoy the photos!

So if you're thinking about eloping, and you're a little bit worried, there really isn't any need to be as this Low Wood Bay elopement will show. If you fancy contacting me about your elopement then please do as I would love to document your day!
