It was my first time ever photographing an elopement at The Lakeside Hotel & Spa and what an amazing outdoor ceremony it was! Bridget & Charles had their own little private lodge suite, separate from the main hotel, with its own little garden and access to its own jetty on the shores of Windermere. Even with paddleboarders and boats passing by it felt perfectly private and an escape from the hustle and bustle of Windermere tourism masses.
Bridget is originally from the US of A and Charles is originally from Barbados, they both met here in the UK where they both live together in the south. Adventuring around when they can. The evening before they walked along some country paths near the hotel and so after the ceremony finished and we had some portraits in The Lakeside Hotel & Spa grounds and shoreline. We headed out that way for portraits ending up in a lush glade with long grass with bluebells.
