University Love Story Couple Portrait Session

I have known of Zoe and Peter for what now seems like an eternity. Their University love story started while in freshers 7 years ago and they are honestly inseparable. To tell you the truth, I don’t think the world would have it any other way, they're just made for each other. Zoe was a year below me as she studied photography at the University of Cumbria, at the same time Peter was studying film and media. To say I wasn't a little nervous about photographing a talented couple, with the certificates to prove it, is an understatement!

I am truly honoured to photograph this couples upcoming wedding next September after a few years of not being in touch as life gets in the way and everyone takes us all in different directions. It was a real surprise to see Zoe & Petes names in an enquiry email. It was a flash from the past and the start of reconnecting friendships.

Apparently, I was the only photographer they wanted and thankfully I was available for their big day. However, Both not being wholly confident in front of the camera (I think that's just a photographers thing? I hate being in front of the lens!) I suggested a couple portrait session to ease any nerves and also to catch up on a few years worth of craic!

As always we walked and talked about the upcoming wedding day and general musings in life like the “Good old Uni days” with the highs and lows that brought. Walking around the beautiful Gelt Woods it was almost tangible feeling of nerves disappearing and the real Zoe & Peter coming to life while we sometimes scrabbled up and over hills and down rocky stone steps.

Well, I think I have said enough right about now and I'm going to let the photographs of this gorgeous couple do the rest of the talking. If you would like to have a couples portrait session with myself, or even have me photograph your big day, then please do get in touch.
