Jess and Conor’s wedding was a stunningly sunny Cumbrian day! It was a pleasure to photograph their wedding day, as we had previously met at another wedding prior to their engagement. I’ve seen their growth as a couple, from boyfriend and girlfriend to parents to two beautiful boys to now husband and wife.

Some love stories take their time, weaving through years of chance meetings and unforgettable moments. Conor and Jess’s journey is one of those rare gems—a romance that started at a house party, grew through unexpected encounters, and blossomed into a life full of love, laughter, and family.

Finding the Perfect Venue

They chose Broughton Craggs because they wanted somewhere close to home with an intimate feel. With its charming atmosphere and beautiful gardens, it was the ideal spot to say, “I do.” The staff were absolute legends in helping them bring their wedding vision to life.

The Big Day

Morning Prep

The day started early, buzzing with excitement. Jess and her bridal party kicked off hair and makeup at 7:00 AM, while Conor and the groomsmen sorted themselves out at Galloway House from 9:30 AM. With two little ones in the mix, there was plenty of juggling naps and last-minute outfit changes!

The Ceremony

Jess walked down the aisle to Conor at 2:30 PM in front of their closest family and friends. The vows were full of love, humour, and a nod to their incredible journey together—safe to say, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Two of Jess’s sisters gave heartfelt readings, adding an extra special touch to the ceremony.

Time to Celebrate!

With the “I dos” done, it was time for formal photos, and all the guests enjoyed drinks and each other’s company on the lawn in the sun. It was then time for the speeches, which had everyone laughing (and maybe shedding a few more tears!). Before, everyone tucked into a cracking meal.

After a bit of time to chill, the evening guests arrived just in time for the first dance. The night was filled with dancing, chatting, and making memories to last a lifetime with thanks to Luke Matear.

The Perfect Ending

As midnight and the celebrations ended, Conor and Jess’s love story had officially turned a new page. Their wedding was more than just a day—it was the start of the next amazing chapter in their lives.
