Wedding Portrait at Hidden River Barn with couple on the balcony

Hidden River Barn Winter Wedding

I adored Stephen & Amanda's Hidden River Barn Wedding, even if the original plan was not for an intimate wedding, they held on through the lockdowns and postponements of 2020 and with changes, managed to still say their vows and have their winter wedding on their original date!

I have photographed several intimate weddings and a Civil Partnership at Hidden River Cabins before. All before or during the building of this amazing new barn wedding venue which fits perfectly into the surroundings.

"We met in Sunderland on a dance floor in 2010 and enjoyed plenty of Sunday afternoons drinking cocktails down on the quayside in Newcastle. We then got engaged in 2013 over a chilled out morning coffee.

Stephen & Amanda decided on Hidden River Barn - as they used to go for brunches & lunches to the cafe, so the decision was purely based on food. They had only seen the plans for the barn, there was nothing there to see as it wasn't even built when we booked their wedding! But knowing the quality of the Hidden River Cabins they knew it would be amazing.

"We Also chose the barn due to the size and thought it would be great for a big evening wedding reception but covid put a stop to that haha! That said we loved our intimate winter wedding at Hidden River Barn & Cabins because in these times it really is about the closest people to us and keeping safe. Were so relieved to have the stress of being able to marry or not over with all the restrictions and count ourselves very lucky"
