Dates can be significate to people for many reasons. For Lena & Barry, however, their wedding date has a rather cool twist to it! After meeting and chatting online they found out that they, in fact, lived on the same street as each other. On the 21/8/2018 they finally met in person over coffee and cake. Several cakes and coffees and 5 hours later they were still chatting away. A relationship bloomed and so it was fitting for them to say their vows on the 18/8/2021, the reverse of when they met in person!
The plan was always to have a small outdoor wedding at Armathwaite Hall and luckily, the COVID restrictions did not affect the wedding plans. Even luckier, while it was raining in the morning and looking rather gloomy Cumbrian weather cleared meaning they could get married outside! (Armathwaite is epic though at being prepared for a change in the weather and always has backup plans and rooms ready just in case!)
Being a small intimate wedding at Armathwiate Hall, I didn't stay too long and left just before the wedding breakfast but we had an amazing time walking over the bridge to Bassenthwaite for a few portraits together after the ceremony.
