Michelle & Davids wedding day started at St. Cuthberts Church in Wigton and ended up at the Heather Glen Country House in Ainstable Village, with a 2 hours detour through the Lake District for some stunning couples portraits!
The wedding service itself was honestly beautiful, not only was it a small surprise to the family that Father Peter Sharrock, a close family friend, was conducting the ceremony and blessing them but that David not only played the guitar as Michelle and entourage entered the church but he also played the trumpet alongside his uncle.
When I met this awesome couple in the pub for our meeting they told me that they had some spare time between their rather special wedding ceremony and when they needed to be at the Heather Glen. It was a perfect time for the couple photos, a perfect time for them to just enjoy the fact that they had just got married. Looking at the timings and knowing they both adored the Lake District, I quickly looked up a map and figured out that we could just about squeeze in a 50-mile detour to visit the lakes with some photos as well!
As the guests who had travelled up for the wedding checked into their hotels we met them all back at the Heather Glen for the speeches, wedding breakfast and of course the crazy fun evening reception which was entertained by the amazing new wedding band The Rhythm Magicians!
Anyway, that’s enough from me, have a look at the below slideshow and images from this epic day. If you would like me to photograph your big day, please feel free to contact me!
