Rannerdale & Buttermere Post Wedding Portrait Session

I have now know Babs & Mark for a little while and you have probably seen their photos before! Either, from their Couple Portrait Session "A Dog Walking Couple Portrait Session at Buttermere" Or from their wedding day "Three Hills Barn Rustic Farm Wedding"!

They are an awesome fun couple who are always up for an adventure! Babs told me ages ago that she would adore to have a photo of her, in her wedding dress, stood in her favourite lake in the Lake District, Buttermere. Which I am aware, isn't technically a lake but... come on!

Post Wedding Portrait Sessions are always fun, especially when its out and about in the lakes. The looks you get are always funny and it's lovely to hear all the "congratulations" throughout the day from various passers-by, typically kitted up to the eyeballs in hiking kit in complete contrast to the couple.

We started the day heading towards the lakes catching up on old times and having a laugh while we drove down towards Rannerdale. Even when the famous bluebells are not out this area of the lakes is utterly stunning. We ventured along the paths, splashed in the puddles and had some mini scrambles over rocky paths.

After this, we headed up the foot of a nearby fell, but not after bumping into a diving rescue team who were out practising in Crummock Water, for some more photos and amazing views.

After all of this fun, we jumped back into the car to warm up again. As well, it was freezing! but also because we had a date with some Ice-cream to make! once that was all eaten Babs prepped herself for a dip in Buttermere!

If you would like a Post Wedding Portrait Session, Or for myself to photograph your Elopement or Wedding. Then please do get in touch and let’s go for an adventure!
