Relaxed Scotby Church Wedding & Tithe Barn Reception

Anna & Martin wanted a relaxed wedding day surrounded by their closest family and friends with a big party to top it off. That's exactly what they got as well with their wedding ceremony at All Saints' Church in Scotby just outside of Carlisle and their wedding reception in Carlisles 15th century Tithe Barn.

They met ten years ago at a house party and while it wasn't love at first sight over time and as friendship groups merged they got closer and closer. In fact, the weekend of the wedding actually marks the ten year anniversary of being together, how cool is that? As said before they both wanted a chilled out relaxed day where they could put their own spin on the venue and have it as a big open room rather than lots of small rooms. The Tithe barn was a perfect choice.

While it rained most of the day, and in order to drive to the church, we had to venture through a few small floods. The wedding day itself was awesome, it even dried up a little and we were able to go outside for some portraits. Martin & Annas couple portrait skills came into their own from our previous adventure together, in the Gelt Woods Couple Portrait Session. In the evening, we all enjoyed amazing sets by Highly Strung as everybody danced the night away.
