A Lingholm Estate Wedding

The Lingholm Estate is on the shore of Derwentwater and boasts a dramatic location surrounded by incredible views of some of the most loved Lakeland fells. If you are looking for a tranquil lakeside wedding, stunning scenery and Lakeside access then Lingholm is the perfect place for your wedding day. It is also where Alannah & Mark decided to host their chilled out wedding day for all their family and friends.

Alannah & Mark have been together for 11 years and met while studying at university in Liverpool. While it wasn't love at first sight, over time they got closer and closer and fell for each other. This meant one of them would undoubtedly move across the water, either Mark to Belfast, or Alannah to Cumbria, where Mark grew up. They settled in Cumbria and fell in love with The Lingholm Estate for their upcoming wedding day.

With both families being far apart, they wanted a simple elegant wedding full of family and friends enjoying each others company, in a beautiful venue with little fuss. I think they nailed it with their Lingholm Estate wedding! While being posey and in front of the camera isn't their natural go-to we managed to escape the rain for a few moments and venture out into the estates' grounds. Including the stunning recently rebuilt walled garden which was the inspiration behind Beatrix Potter's Mr McGregor’s garden in The Tale of Peter Rabbit book.
