Zoe & Pete The Halston Hotel Wedding

Zoe & Pete fell in love with The Halston Hotel wedding for their special day as "The moment we walked in the door, it's so relaxed, modern and spacious we really feel we can make it our own. Our style is quite simple, clean and fairly modern, with a few bits of tradition thrown in there." Needless to say, The Halston Hotel Wedding fit this style perfectly!

I have known both Zoe & Pete ever since they got together, as it was in fact at uni where we all studied very closely to each other. To me its actually impossible to see them not as a couple, as its all I have ever known and right from the start you could just tell that they were going to get married, little did I know though that it would be me who would photograph their wedding day!

I asked Zoe for some words about them and she told me this:

"We met at uni on 19th September 2010 while out on the first night of freshers - romantic eh?  Pete moved in with me shortly after and we've lived together in Carlisle ever since.  Pete says we're relaxed and fun going (I can bit more uptight though!) We love a laugh and Pete has some pretty wacky ideas, which I have to reign in quite often, however, he took me on the most amazing surprise trip to Paris and asked me to be his wife!!  There's a lot of funny stories and we've had some great laughs over the last nearly 8 years, and are so excited for more.  We love camping, each others company, nice meals out and snuggly nights in.  Sometime's I just need an arm around my shoulder to help me, turns out that arm is Pete's."

While both Zoe & Pete got ready at The Halston, and the wedding breakfast and evening reception was at the Halston. The ceremony itself was at St Cuthbert's, A stunning Carlisle Church which was built in 1778! however, this has nothing on the original church on this land which was built in 685AD!

It was genuinely an honour to photograph these two as I have known them for so long and it was a pleasure to be a part of the day. It's also worth a huge shout out to the staff at The Halston and all the Wedding team for making it run so smoothly!
