Lauren and Scott are not only crazy cool but they're up for an adventure! I mean, on their Couple Portrait Session we climbed on cars! If you've not seen that, check it out Here. They said the vows at the beautiful St John's Church, which itself is in the stunning small village Grayrigg, just outside of Kendal. After that, we ventured through the Lake District to The Daffodil Hotel, on Grasmere for the wedding breakfast and evening reception.
The Daffodil Hotel is a Lake District wedding venue that I have always wanted to photograph. Its mix of city contemporary luxe interiors set against the breathtakingly stunning natural beauty of the lakes is an amazing recipe for a wedding. It also perfectly summed up Lauren and Scott's personalities and styles perfectly.
I won't lie, I was a little on edge in the morning at the bridal preparations, everyone was so chilled out it was crazy! Thankfully, that vibe stayed throughout the entire day and it again sums this stunning couple up to the T! Nothing was too much effort with offers of coffee every 10 minutes, which by the way is the perfect way to enable a caffeine addict like me! At one point the best man gave me his pudding as he didn't want it... ok so he may have also ran away with my camera for a little while but I don't think I will be out of a job anytime soon judging by the quality 😉
Everything throughout the day was personal and honest. Nothing was faked, the smiles were real, and tears were real. the laughs were real and it was beautiful to see. All I can say is a huge thank you to everyone who attended this wedding for allowing me to photograph them all as they really are. No barriers, just honesty. I believe that comes through in these photographs, I hope you do too.
