Winter Wedding at The Garden At Eden

We all know I love a winter wedding, but Abby & Phil's winter wedding at the Garden At Eden was on one of the shortest days of the year! As a photographer, that's hard to work with but I love a challenge and I adore this couple! If you recognise this gorgeous couple, it might be from their Couple Portrait Session earlier in the year, A Moody Thirlmere Adventure!

"We first met at school in March 2008 doing a production of ‘Disco Inferno’, a musical featuring a host of 70s disco classics. Phil played drums in the orchestra and I was a dancer. The school then took us on a trip to Venice to perform the show and see the sights. It was on this trip that we first got together at the ‘Discoteca Splash’, a cheesy underage club night that the school had arranged. I suppose how we got together all those years ago still reflects our relationship today, just a couple of music geeks who love travelling the world together.

Over the last 11 and a half years, we’ve been fortunate enough to go on some amazing holidays and we’re both super excited about our honeymoon in January cruising around New Zealand! We chose Garden at Eden as we wanted somewhere to enjoy our whole day without travelling between venues (and without travelling miles to get there in the first place). We loved the way it looked and could just imagine it with all the twinkly lights in the winter."

  1. Another great wedding Joshua, love that backlit shot of the trumpet player in black and white (probably a trumpet, I’m no expert!). Hope you’re well and have had a good 2019.
