Autumnal Wedding At Askham Hall & Bank Barn

Katie & David’s stunning Autumnal Wedding at Askham Hall was amazing! Full of fun, laughs and dancing at Askham Halls Bank Barn with gorgeous couple portraits all within Askham Hall & The Lowther Estates stunning grounds on a dry autumn day Just outside The Lake District near Penrith. Should you ever need it, the postcode for Askham Hall is CA10 2PF.

Askham Hall, itself is a grade I-listed building and has a 16th century wood-beamed Medieval Hall and the Old Chapel. There is room outside, for an outdoor ceremony with a wooden pavilion is perfectly positioned in the gardens for all your guests to see. Charles Lowther, the owner, has transformed Askham Hall from a stately family home into a unique accommodation venture that combines the comfort of home with hotel amenities.

Near by are are two stunning churches if you would like a religious , alternatively Askham Hall & Bank Barn are licensed to Civil Ceremonies as you will see below.

Bank Barn is Askham Hall’s very own grade II-listed barn conversion wedding venue and the site’s biggest attraction. Bank Barn has an oak-beamed ceiling, exposed stone walls, neutral decor, huge windows and pretty lighting it has everything a contemporary barn wedding venue should have. Including a well-stocked bar!

In a previous life I was part of the lighting team who used to install lights for Bank Barn and so I know the barn very well, and at height I might add. I also know how amazing the staff are and how customisable Bank Barn is as a wedding venue!

It is able to accommodate up to 150 seated guests and 200 guests for your nighttime wedding reception. If you have even more guests, don’t worry. just let them know and Askham Hall will be happy to talk to you about more options like a marquee hire! Don’t worry though, it’s not all about big numbers, Askham Hall is amazing at intimate small weddings as well!
