Kirsty & Alex Skitby House Wedding

Kirsty & Alex fell in love with Skitby House when they took a relative who lives nearby for afternoon tea at this funky and intimate venue. After finding out that they were also a wedding venue they knew exactly where they were going to say their vows and party all night. Alongside their families and friend, most of which had travelled all the way up with this gorgeous couple from London.

I asked these cuties to write a little something about them and the below is what they said:

"We met 11 years ago in a drag club that we used to visit every week. We lived our lives deciding which sequins to wear and where in Soho we were going out. Alex used to call Kirsty 'eyelash girl' because she wore the biggest and most silly lashes and Alex was always behind the DJ booth with her handbag vodka!

We used to plan to open our drag shop before getting real jobs and working as teachers. My favourite memory of this time was flying to Milan to watch our friend DJ in the most insane drag club before staggering back to London after 1 hour's sleep. We still enjoy going to drag clubs and nights out when we can and spend a great deal of time thinking about how glittery we can get before it becomes a problem at work!

Day to day, we enjoy the simple comforts of our cats, watching Disney, planning our next adventures and having each other because even just that is something which we thought we wouldn't have for a while."
