Ellie & Gareth’s had their Civil Partnership at the amazing Hidden River Cabins! With just the two of them chilling out and enjoying time together by the warm cabin fire watching films and drinking plenty of cups of tea… and eating cake!
They wanted to celebrate their relationship level up of a Civil Partnership with some photos representing their true selves after the simple signing of the Civil Document. Little did we know it would be in Cumbria’s traditionally wet weather but these hardy two were up for all of the fun and adventuring around Hidden River Cabins land.
“We met while working together in a hotel (The Swan in Stafford). Ellie used to make me cups of tea (she didn’t like tea at the time….things have changed now). She worked in the coffee shop, I worked on the bar. We kind of just kept seeing each other and then it snowballed from there. Our spare time involves looking for our next adventures to go on outside and inside the UK. We like going on holiday a lot to see different scenery and to try different foods. All our adventures tend to come back to a nice piece of cake and a good brew at the end!”
“We realised that planning weddings/civil partnerships could be extremely stressful so we picked Hidden River Cabins because it was that bit of peace and tranquility that we were looking for as well as being a chilled break away from everyday life. We could spend quality time with each other enjoying the outdoors without being disturbed as well as having the luxury of lovely food and mod cons of Hidden River cabins.”
“We decided not to have any guests as we wanted the civil partnership to be completely about us and no one else. Any time we thought about adding guests the day turned into someone else’s rather than ours.”
