Balmule House is an incredible venue of choice for a winter wedding, and it was exactly where Henry and Jen decided to tie the knot. It's beautifully intimate with many rooms for guests to run off and catch up on years worth of antics while at the same time it has a flow to the building where you naturally want to explore and discover the 500-year-old history of Balmule House behind the modern decor and furnishings. It's honestly the perfect mix between old and new!
Both currently living and working in London the enjoy the city life and all that it brings "We really enjoy the lifestyle, being able to get into our workplaces on foot rather than on the tube and like to take long walks by the river or into town of the weekends, as well as catching up with friends and making the most of the riverside pubs and restaurants"
"Neither of us are extroverts, nor have we ever been too keen on having a huge "perfect" wedding, so decided early on we'd try to organise our wedding with as minimal stress involved as possible rather than worrying about perfection."
"It became clear fairly early on that the wedding should really be in Scotland - on that basis, we'd been to the wedding of some friends at Balmule a couple of years ago and had always since talked about how much we loved the venue and the intimacy of it, so when we found out they had availability for us to get married this year we were sold"
I mean, just how amazing are these guys?! Have a look at the below images from this epic day. If you would like me to photograph your big day, please feel free to contact me!
