August Summer Wedding at Armathwaite Hall

There’s something magical about weddings where everything just clicks. For Becka & Ian, their day at Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa was nothing short of phenomenal — filled with laughter, love, and moments that will stay with them forever.

How It All Began

Back in 2021, Becka made a huge life change — leaving Essex behind and moving 320 miles north to Cumbria. On her very first week in a new job, she noticed her good-looking Site Manager (spoiler: that was Ian). Friends messaged to ask how the new job was going, and she famously replied: “He doesn’t know it yet, but I’ll marry him!”

Turns out, she was right. A few months later they started dating, and in December 2022, Ian whisked Becka off to Paris. In front of the Eiffel Tower, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

Falling in Love with Armathwaite Hall

When it came time to plan the wedding, they didn’t need to look far. Armathwaite Hall was the very first venue they visited, and they instantly knew it was the one. With its stunning setting overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake, timeless interiors, and relaxed luxury, it was everything they wanted. And when the August bank holiday Saturday was available — it felt like fate.

The Wedding Day

From start to finish, Becka & Ian’s wedding day was flawless. Their ceremony took place inside the hall, followed by a drinks reception filled with smiles, hugs, and laughter. Every detail — from the décor to the food, the music to the entertainment — flowed perfectly, creating a day that felt effortless but unforgettable.

For me, it was such a joy to capture their story as it unfolded. The day was full of candid, natural moments: quiet glances between them, the joy of their families coming together, and the big celebrations on the dance floor later. Becka & Ian radiated happiness all day long — you can see it shining through every image.

Still on Cloud Nine

In Becka’s own words:

“The most magical day of our lives. Surrounded by the people we love, full of smiles and laughter — the day couldn’t have gone any better. The beautiful photos you’ve captured for us reflect the love and joy that filled our hearts all day. Ian and I are still on cloud nine. If we had one wish, it would be to repeat our wedding day over and over again!”

I think that sums it up perfectly.
