What better way to spend your tenth wedding anniversary than in the lake district on a post-wedding portrait session in your wedding dress and kilt?! Nah, I’m struggling to think of a cooler way too!
That is however exactly what Dan & Ems did for their tenth wedding anniversary. Funnily enough, I started talking about the shoot about a year ago with Dan as just a nice cool thing to do, when mentioned to Ems she said that we should wait a year for their tenth wedding anniversary and so a plan was made! However, the night before the shoot she sent me a text to say that they were going to wear their wedding attire all over again and well, my excited levels reached an absolute peek!
I had seen photos of Lantys tarn in the past and thought it was a cool location right in the heart of the northern fells near Ullswater. It’s a nice quiet tarn that’s a short walk from Glenridding, sadly quite a lot of it is uphill, but it’s worth the walk as the fells just open up with the Lake District showing off its amazing beauty.
Dan & Ems are crazy cool and I adore them, they’re spontaneous and high energy always going things out in the Lake District having fun with sports like snowboarding, mountain biking, Kyacks, paddleboards and even slackline-ing to name a few.
