A little while ago I posted on my Facebook page a small offer looking for couples who wanted to have a post-wedding portrait session in the Lake District. Pauline & Stuart got in touch as they were getting married soon up in Scotland but wanted some dramatic portraits to be taken in the Lake District!
The Lake district being the way it is, meant we actually moved the photoshoot a few hours to try and miss the rain, and while we stayed fairly dry the wind was absolutely howling a gale! With the lake flowing over the pathways. Needless to say the adventure as fun!
"Stuart and I met in 2016 and our 2nd date was walking and picnic-ing around Crummock water. It’s a special place for us now as we spend a lot of time there with our family and dogs walking, swimming and having picnics.
Our wedding was a humanist ceremony with lots of Scottish traditions. We had a handfasting ceremony that involved our four children were we "tied the Knot" and drank from a quaich. We celebrated with our families and closest friends in Scotland but decided on no formal photography on the day just a relaxed day with my uncle who’s hobby is photography taking some pictures, I’m not comfortable having pictures taken and feel awkward. We loved that you would go to our favourite place in the world and do a post-wedding photoshoot with just the two of us after our New Years Eve wedding.
It was a really fun morning spent with you and Stuart and I were delighted with our photos and I felt relaxed and comfortable with you making the experience enjoyable "
If you would like a Post Wedding Portrait Session, Or for myself to photograph your Elopement or Wedding. Then please do get in touch and let’s go for an adventure!
