Yew Tree Farm, once owned by Beatrix Potter in the 1930s, is a working farm near Coniston in the Lake District. Believe it or not but Yew Tree Farm is still home to many of her furnishings. Needless to say, this amazing working farm is an incredible location for a wedding and it's exactly where Andrew and Lucinda had their non-traditional rustic barn wedding.
Their wedding was all about friends and family sharing in the moment of their vows and enjoying each others company while at this stunning brand new wedding venue in the Lake District, Yew Tree Farm. Coniston is especially important to them both as while living in London Andrews family live in the Lake District and throughout the course of their relationship they have visited the lakes quite frequently.
The day started with them both getting ready in the farmhouse at Yew Tree Farm which was built in 1690 with close family and friends also getting ready in the farmhouse. From there they both walked down the aisle together holding hands to massive applause from their supportive friends and family. Afterwards, we headed up to Tarn Hows in a landrover over some rather bumpy terrain to the top which is private land for an incredible view of Yew Tree Farms estate. heading back down we enjoyed speeches from various family and friends and as the sun slowly popped behind the Lake District fells we partied the night away... We may have also found a trampoline for the last photo in this blog... It's kinda hard to say n to a trampoline photo!
Anyway, I've rattled on long enough. Have a look at the below images from this epic day. If you would like me to photograph your big day, please feel free to contact me!
