Ant and Karla’s journey together has always been about embracing adventure. Whether exploring new places, building a business side by side, or simply enjoying life’s little moments, they have always found joy in shared experiences. With a shared love for theatre, adventure, and each other, they have created a life that reflects their passions and values.
When choosing their wedding venue, they knew it had to be a place that felt like home. Their home is a barn, so what better way to celebrate their love than in a setting that mirrors the warmth and rustic charm they cherish? Low Hall The Lakes, near Cockermouth, was the perfect choice—an inviting and intimate space that captured the essence of their journey together. With its stunning woodlands and cosy barn spaces, it set the perfect backdrop for their celebration.
Ant and Karla’s wedding was a beautiful blend of rustic elegance and the adventurous spirit that defines them. More than anything, they wanted their day to feel deeply personal, where every moment was filled with love, laughter, and connection.
The day began with a breathtaking woodland ceremony officiated by the wonderful Charlotte Pennefather. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows in an intimate setting under the sunshine. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour outside in the gardens, featuring a mac and cheese bar, while we captured some beautiful formal group photos.
Speeches also took place outdoors, making the most of the glorious weather. Live music set the tone for the afternoon, with two duo performances bringing warmth and atmosphere to the celebrations. Later, guests moved upstairs for a delicious wedding breakfast before the evening festivities began.
As the evening unfolded, the celebration continued with cake cutting, tea, coffee, and desserts before heading upstairs for the couple’s first dance. One of the night’s biggest surprises was the Ceilidh dance, bringing energy and excitement to the room as guests joined in the lively, traditional celebration.
Every detail of Ant and Karla’s wedding reflected their journey and love for adventure. Their wedding was truly a memorable day, from the carefully chosen setting to the intimate moments shared between friends and family. It was an absolute pleasure to capture these special moments for them, and I am so grateful to have been a part of their unforgettable day.
