Tipi Wedding On The Shores Of Ullswater

Well, what can I say? Charlotte & Jacks fantastic wedding on the shores of Ullswater int he Lake District was amazing. The weather was, erm, at best, typical Lake District weather. Pouring down at some points on the morning to spitting during the beautiful ceremony these two had created at raining for the confetti photo... to glorious sunshine and dramatic clouds.

The entire day was planned by Jack & Charlotte, from the amazing ceremony with their own vows to the Tipi styled decorations and an incredible first dance full of lifts and kicks. You could see their past jobs coming through perfectly. Both of them used to work in the theatre behind the scenes organising and creating amazing shows at The Theatre By The Lake in Keswick. It is also where in fact they met.

"We both have a keen interest in the outdoors so would often cycle around Derwentwater and head to Carlisle for a Toby Carvery. We have been travelling quite a bit together with three weeks driving across America, we are also returning for our honeymoon, we have been to Poland, Kefalonia, Hungary, Thailand and a proposal in Iceland. We both wanted a big wedding as we are from fairly large families and always wanted a festival style tipi wedding. We have organised the whole thing ourselves, including finding a west Cumbrian chef who's portion sizes are up to our high standards (i.e. huge). We are aiming for a laid backed chilled wedding with lots of friends sharing a day together."

Needless to say, I think they achieved their goals in their amazing Tipi wedding by the ever-stunning Ullswater.
