Lesley and Simon’s wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love and a beautiful testament to second chances at lifelong companionship. The festivities unfolded over two delightful days in Carlisle, a charming historical setting that perfectly complemented their story.

Day One: An Intimate Ceremony

The ceremony was held at the local Registry Office, Lady Gilfords House, a venue selected for its simplicity and elegance, which is ideal for an intimate gathering. This choice reflected Lesley and Simon’s desire for a small, personal celebration that focused on the closeness of the family ties that supported them through their individual life paths and now, as they joined together.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests made their way to the Pentonbridge Inn, renowned for its exquisite culinary offerings. As enthusiasts of good food, Lesley and Simon found the Inn a perfect match for their celebration. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as the group enjoyed a finely curated meal in a cosy, welcoming setting, marking the beginning of new family memories.

Day Two: A Festive Gathering

The following day, the celebration expanded to include a wider circle of friends and family at the historic Tithe Barn in Carlisle. This part of the event was more laid-back, with a festive atmosphere that allowed all guests to share in the joy of Lesley and Simon’s wedding celebration.

The highlight of the evening was a lively Ceilidh, a traditional Gaelic social gathering filled with dancing and music. The energy was infectious, with guests of all ages joining in the dances, guided by the cheerful tunes of a local folk band.

For Lesley and Simon, their wedding days in Carlisle were not just about marking a new beginning but were a tribute to the journey that had brought them together. It reflected their past, a joyful present, and a nod to a promising future.
