This weekends wedding was at the gorgeous St Michaels Church in the heart of Dalston village, just outside of Carlisle. Now if you recognise this stunning couple then it may be from their Dalston Walk Couple Portrait Session which if you’re yet to see it, you should after you see this amazing wedding!
The wedding day was amazing and perfectly summed up Steph & Martin, it was all about friends and family having a good time. Though the rain came and stayed most of the day they proved that rain on a wedding day isn’t an issue at all and that you should just embrace the rain. It sure made for some stunning portraits later on into the night.
After the church wedding, we all headed out to Skitby, again on the outskirts of Carlisle. The wedding party were taken there by Cumbria Classic Wedding Cars with their Classic Rolls Royce Cloud & Daimler Limousine. Skitby is an award-winning wedding venue mixes traditional sandstone building with a chic and contemporary vibe throughout, alongside its incredible food (Which I maybe partial to).
In the evening reception, we were treated to the incredible live wedding band Highly Strung who started the evening with a swing set followed by two energetic sets of modern pop to classic rock all in their own style getting everyone up on their feet dancing the night away.
Have a look at the below images from this epic day. I especially love the reflection portrait and the rain portrait which just goes to show how epic this couple are, standing in the rain! If you would like me to photograph your big day, please feel free to contact me!
