Outdoor Summer Wedding At Cripps Barn

When Erin contacted me about photographing her Cripps barn wedding, I was over the moon! You See, Cripps Barn is possibly as opposite to its sister wedding venue Healey Barn as you can get! Healey Barn is in the North East, and the wedding I photographed there was in winter, while Erin & Ross's wedding venue is in the heart of the Cotswolds, and the wedding date was in the peak of summer. Myself & Erin were also members of an online community of freelancers and self-employed creatives, so it was amazing to hear from someone who is creative wanting me to photograph their wedding day.

Cripps Barn is a gorgeously renovated 18th-century Cotswold stone barn all-in-one wedding venue licensed to hold Civil ceremonies inside or outside, as well as being able to do your catering and hold your wedding reception.

Erin and Ross's wedding day started off at the nearby 'Casina Cottage' and 'The New Inn' in Coln St Aldwyns, a rather idyllic Cotswolds village, for bridal and groom preps before heading a few miles down the road to Cripps Barn in a rather cool Indian Ambassadors car by Kushi Cars.

The civil ceremony was held in the woodland glade, which was perfect for this outdoor summer wedding on the grounds of Cripps Barn. Conducted by the local registry service and included readings by family and friends.

After the ceremony, we all headed out for some nibbles, drinks, lawn games and portraits. We even sang happy birthday to a guest who couldn't make it to the wedding day in the only way that showman Ross could!

After all of this, we all enjoyed the entertainment of Ross's speech and quickly headed into the evening reception with a fantastic Cèilidh from a Glasgow-based band who kept the party going all night!

If you're thinking about having everyone around for a Cripps Barn Wedding, and fancy contacting me about your Wedding then please do as I would love to document your day at this fab wedding venue!
