Anna & Martin wanted a relaxed wedding day surrounded by their closest family and friends with a big party to top it off. That’s exactly what they got as well with their wedding ceremony at All Saints’ Church in Scotby just outside of Carlisle and their wedding reception in Carlisles 15th century Tithe Barn.
The Laura Ashley Hotel, The Belsfield, is a stunning venue for any wedding. With views over Windermere in the heart of the Lake District and 6 acres of gardens its hard to go wrong. Kim & Ian’s Intimate and Elegant Belsfield wedding was gorgeous. Surrounded by those closest and dearest to them they said their vows and celebrated the start of their joint journey together as husband and wife.

Though the rain came and stayed most of the day they proved that rain on a wedding day isn’t an issue at all and that you should just embrace the rain.
Storrs Hall is a stunning 4-star hotel Georgian Mansion house in the Lake District on the shores of Windermere, It is a place of absolute luxury and is a perfect venue for a lake district wedding. Jessica and Jeremy’s elegant and floral Storrs Hall Wedding was truly beautiful. From the outdoor ceremony to the Late night Casino the day was centred around family and friends enjoying time together celebrating the marriage of these absolute beauts!
Yew Tree Farm, once owned by Beatrix Potter in the 1930s, is a working farm near Coniston in the Lake District. Believe it or not but Yew Tree Farm is still home to many of her furnishings. Needless to say, this amazing working farm is an incredible location for a wedding and it’s exactly where Andrew and Lucinda had their non-traditional rustic barn wedding.

Well, what can I say? Charlotte & Jacks amazing wedding on the shores of Ullswater int he Lake District was amazing. The weather was, erm, at best, classic Lake District weather. Pouring down at some points on the morning to spitting during the stunning ceremony these two had created at raining for the confetti photo… to glorious sunshine and dramatic clouds.
Three Hills Barn is a gorgeous wedding venue in Cumbria just on the outskirts of the Lake District. Its also where Beth & Ryan decided to say their vows in front of their family and friends.

Jade & David eloped to the stunning Merewood County House hotel on Windermere with what the hotel calls a “Just us wedding” The day was full of glorious sunshine and adventure. David wrote a rather cute story of how they came to be the amazing couple that they are so I’m just going to leave it to him to tell the story…
David & Quitterie had their beautiful handfasting wedding on the lake district, Eskdale to be precise. Which they fell in love with while searching for a wedding venue in the UK.
Lucy & Sean said their vows at Cragwood Country House Hotel in a ‘Just Us’ ceremony, followed by an adventure to Rydal Water. It was beautifully intimate and perfect in every way. It was an absolute honour to be there for these two. Their story, the road they have walked down to get here, isn’t the easiest of reads. Needless to say, a kiss of life was needed, and when things like that happen, I believe priorities change and realign.
Cassie & Jonny said their vows in front of friends and family at The Halston followed by their wedding reception at The Tithe Barn Carlisle. I love a Tithe Barn Wedding, It just has such a cool feel even though its right in the centre of town.

Nic & Jo’s email about their Non Traditional Elopement had me hooked from the start! It was clear that they were doing it all for them, and as you know, this is something I totally believe in! The fact they emailed photos of them and Elvis their ridiculously cute dog just sealed the deal.
Michelle & Davids wedding day started at St. Cuthberts Church in Wigton and ended up at the Heather Glen Country House in Ainstable Village, with a 2 hours detour through the Lake District for some stunning couples portraits!
Sadly I was already booked but I did promise them that we would go out and do a Post Wedding Portrait Session after their big day. This of course meant that Georgia had to wear her stunning Ronald Joyce Ballgown Dress again (HERMILA).

Kirsty & Alex fell in love with Skitby House when they took a relative who lives nearby for afternoon tea at this funky and intimate venue.
Lynsey & Mark said their vows at the beautiful Cumbrian village church that is St Michael’s Church in Torpenhow, which is pronounced “Tra-pen-ah”, yeah that’s Cumbria for you. After their ceremony, we all ventured out to the amazingly, newly renovated Greenhill Hotel!
Luci & Ste’s traditional church wedding in Carlisle’s city centre at St Cuthberts Church was, as they are, all about family.
They said the vows at the beautiful St John’s Church, which itself is in the stunning small village Grayrigg, just outside of Kendal. After that, we ventured through the Lake District to The Daffodil Hotel, on Grasmere for the wedding breakfast and evening reception.
Jaime decided to run the race for life for cancer research as not only was it her first year wedding anniversary but she also has a personal connection to the event.
Michael and Bethan are seriously cute and their Midsummer Muncastle Castle wedding proved that as it suited them down to the T!
Katie & Chris Inn On The Lake Wedding was beautiful, as you would imagine with a hotel of this quality. However, as I now know from doing this for a few years, its people who make weddings, and this combination of amazing people and a stunning venue was to die for.
